It all started when…
my uncle purchased a computer in the 90’s and I could not stop drawing on Microsoft Paint. After having my own computer at the age of 12, I taught myself how to create HTML websites from scratch. In high school, I was always tech savvy, still creating websites, but dancing was my main & favorite form of expression. After high school, I was one of the few that decided on going to art school - I was studying advertising/graphic design. Not having the means to finish school, I followed my dream into the behind the scenes world of TV/Film production.
I found a Producer looking for an assistant on Craigslist and got the job. I worked as a Production Assistant for commercials which led me to working on reality television. The reality show that allowed room for my creativity was HGTV’s Color Splash: Miami, where I assisted the Designers in finding local artisans to feature in the episodes and the Co-Executive in securing locations & trade outs, locking schedules, and tracking expenses (to name a few). It was also the show where I grew as a PA to an Associate Producer, all before turning 21. After working for an HGTV show, I was inspired by interior design and continued to attract home-related programs into my life.
Television brought me to travel the US and eventually move to NYC where I learned how to produce shows in Post Production using Avid Media Composer. In 2017, I landed my most challenging producing job yet, HGTV’s House Hunters International, where I was lucky to travel to London & Costa Rica to watch the episodes come to life.
Now entering my 10th year of being in the industry, I am happy to be back in my hometown, Miami, FL, feeling re-energized and inspired by what my city has to offer.
Love always, Lauren
